Our story
 

Rota-Spring Farm is a 3rd generation dairy farm founded In 1911 by Italian Immigrants, Giovanni and Marcella Rota. They came from Italy looking for the land of opportunity and settled in Sterling, MA. Their son, Henry, who worked at the family farm since his childhood, took over the business in 1948. David Rota, Henry’s son, inherited the business in 1987.

In 1998, David decided to diversify the business and opened an ice cream stand on the family’s farm.

Today, you can enjoy the creamiest, award winning, homemade ice cream – made right here on the farm in Sterling, MA.
